Helping Clients Develop Estate Plans

Phillip C. Stone, Jr., has over 26 years of experience in the areas of estate planning and administration, taxation, and business law. He practiced both in a large Harrisonburg firm and as a sole practitioner, before helping to start Stone Law Group.

A CPA as well as an attorney, his practice focuses on assisting clients with the development of estate plans for the efficient transfer of family assets to future generations in the most tax-advantageous way, including the use of wills and trusts, as well as assisting families with the orderly settlement of estates. He also works with individuals with special needs and their families in planning their financial affairs, including the drafting of special needs trusts.

In addition, he regularly advises both business and non-profit organizations in both the start-up phase, including choice of entity, as well as ongoing operations. Mr. Stone serves as general counsel to the Shenandoah District of the Church of the Brethren, and to over two dozen other local businesses and non-profit organizations.
